Originally from California and Arizona, Franks brings fresh idea to the El Paso/Las Cruces area. Frank and Grace have over 30 years' combined experience in the pool business. Since their conception in February of 2003, they've already built over 200 pools. Yet they are less interested in volume than in quality.

"We couldn't do it without our team," Franks says. Frank has educated each team member in the phases of building and materials used. "They're present at every stage of the process: dig, shell, deck, final inspection." The pool shells are all shotcrete, a high quality product pneumatically blown into every crevice under high pressure. Extra rebar and concrete 8 inches thick strengthen the pool walls, guaranteeing a lasting product.

The company has had great response form the actual pools they've built for the El Paso Home Show. In 2004, Pools by Design won Best Outdoor and Best Overall Display. In this month's Home Show they will enter a pool with 2-3 ton boulders and a waterfall.

The primary source of business is referrals. "The team gives pool tours tailored to the interests of potential customers. Our clients are willing to open their homes to new customers," Frank explains.
